Hi Edgar! Physical Therapy is a solid field in Texas and the market is still favorable. However, this means that schools are competitive, and the average entrance GPA is currently a 3.7. Both PT and Welding lead to employable skills and therefore steady incomes, so it would just depend on which field you're interested in pursuing more. On average it takes 8 years to be a PT whereas you can be a Welder in 2 (depending on if you're only interested in becoming one type of Welder or all 3). I would recommend Googling PT schools in Texas and their requirements as well as Welding Programs. Then I'd look into any additional Career Planning available through Job Corps. I hope this helps!

I would recommend speaking to your school counselor. PT school is very competitive and you will need a high GPA. You also need to decide if you want to be in school for 6+ years compared to 18-24 months for trade school. Trade school is a great option and weldors are in high demade. You could take a tour or a local trade school to get more information.
Best of luck!
