I agree that studying hard is important. It is also important to understand the application and admissions process for college. Ask yourself what you are looking for in a college. You might be interested in schools in a particular geographic area, schools that are well known for a particular subject area, or schools that fit any other criteria. After identifying which schools are of interest to you, contact the admissions office or look at the school's website to understand what the school is looking for in their students. Talk to alumni about their experiences. Do other research on the school. If their criteria are a fit for you and you think you would be a good fit for the school, find out more about the application process (e.g., do they require essays, what scores do they expect on standardized tests?). Start this process well in advance of deadlines and know that many schools require fees to apply. Finally, also look into scholarship opportunities. Best of luck in finding the school that is best for you!
