There are 2 courses which belong to dental and which a person is eligible to pursue after Class 10th. They can get admission in all the affiliated Universities spread across the states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, etc. There are 96 colleges offering dental that a student can take admission in spread throughout India.

In India, training in dentistry is through a 5 year course in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), which includes 4 years of study and one year of internship. The Dental Council of India regulates the Dental education in India. Candidates need a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) to practice as a dentist.
