Co-op is a great way to get your degree and some practical experience at the same time. But, fewer universities are offering programs like this than in the past. In a co-op program, you alternate between semester on-campus and semesters at work. You must interview for the "work" job so that companies benefit by getting some useful work from as well as you benefiting from the work experience.
"Summer" internship is another great opportunity. Look for the on-campus interviews that various companies schedule and see if they will also interview for internship positions. Also, talk to your campus adviser. And, if possible, your Department Head. He/she has contact with industry people and can sometimes recommend students who show a keen interest.
It is a bit more difficult for underclassmen to get internships versus junior and senior classmen. So, work to maintain good grades.
Think about what work/experience you would like to gain, and then look for businesses that may be involved in that area.

Gahm,
There are a lot of great resources that you can find on LinkedIn or Glassdoor! I would suggest looking at those sites and look for roles specifically in electrical engineering! Alternatively, you can go directly to a company that you would love to work for and look at their careers page!
Hope that helps!
