Rod’s Answer

Hello! The education level needed varies from job to job. Some jobs require a specific degree while others might require a certification to get started. There are many good jobs out there and they all have various requirements. Some might just need an internship and hands on experience. My advice is try to determine what you want to do based on your interests. Do not worry about lack of experience because you will gain that in time.

Hey Atosha,

Some good jobs only require certifications, others require master's or doctorate degrees. Really, you have to define what a good job is to you. Lots of people focus on the money, but you should consider cost to get into the field, interest (what you are interested in), lifestyle (traveling all the time, working 80 hours a week, flexible work location or hours, etc), money (financial stability), and other things (like location).

Think about what you enjoy then look into jobs related to that in order to give you a starting point.

Best of luck to you!!

Julian’s Answer

Atosha,

The level of education that you want is totally up to you and what your career goals are. Some roles require you to attend school for far longer (i.e Medical Field). Other careers require a bachelor degrees. There are even some careers where trade schools are all that you need!

All just depends on your goals!

Patsy’s Answer

It depends on what you mean by a good job. What do you mean? High pay? Some high paying jobs require lots of schooling (Actuary, medicine, software engineer etc). Some jobs pay well (electrician or plumber) and require certifications and apprenticeships. It's up to wether you want to pursue higher education or not.

Best of luck!

Ae’s Answer

This varies depending on the job position. There are careers where you can be certified in a specific trade and does not necessarily required the 4-year college degree. If that is what you are more interested in, I would encourage you to reach out to your guidance counselors at school to learn more.
