Samuel, you can't go wrong with whatever level of degrees/certifications you pursue in Information/Cyber Security. Take this quote from the Cybersecurity Workforce: By 2022, the global cybersecurity workforce shortage has been projected to reach upwards of 1.8 million unfilled positions. Also, check into the SSCP certification from (ISC)2. It's a good starting point to lead up to the CISSP. You can become an "Associate of (ISC)2" while you work on getting the necessary number of years of experience. But you still take and pass the exam and plop that onto your resume, which people love! Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions.

Excellent question Samuel and this a great field to get into. Currently, there are many jobs available from the US greatest companies. The salary for an Associate Scientist (AS) start from 48K to 100K+. My advice will be to obtain your AS in Cyber Security and then get certified. Here are some of the Certifications for Cyber Security your convenience: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Good luck Samuel - The Sky is the limit!
