I am answering your question in two parts:
The first part deals with how to keep the cost of college down, so you do not amass a large student debt:

The second part deals with how to find scholarships

Talk to your school counselor to see what other suggestions that he/she might have. Also talk to your own doctor to get his/her input and to see how and where he/she might see you fitting into the medical field! The medical field is very broad with many opportunities. They both might have some interesting suggestions about scholarships and coop and intern programs and about your fit in the field.
You have a great dream. I am sure that you will find a way to achieve it without causing your family to have a large debt burden.
Send thank you notes to those who help. Please keep me posted. I would like to follow your progress!
