Where should I go for paid internships in the San Diego County?

I am a native of California and attended public schools in San Diego through High School. I start my college career at Southwestern College then transferred to San Diego Mesa College and received an Associate of Arts in Sociology.

I enrolled in The Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Capella University and excitingly have a few months until graduation. I am looking for practicum experience along with intensive coursework as a paid intern. I would like to gain tremendous experience in psychoeducational assessment, behavioral interventions, group and individual crisis- and short-term counseling, social skills training for children with social cognitive disabilities, problem-solving consultation with teachers, and reading intervention.

Psychology is my passion, and I hope to continue my education until my Doctorate of Science in Psychology Degree. My future goals are to visit third countries and help people with cognitive and/or psychotherapy and how to deal with the effects of conflict they are experiencing. #clinical-psychology

Hi Allyson A.

You stated you enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Capella University and have a few months until graduation. And now your looking for practicum experience as a paid intern. Your best bet since you will be graduating soon is to talk to the teachers and counselors in the Psychology dept. at Capella University. A lot of them know people outside the University who can help you achieve your goal. I don't know if a paid internship is possible, but no harm in trying. Good Luck
