The answer boils down to what the needs & goals of role/org that is hiring and to what you bring to the table to match the same. Either through innate qualities & strengths, education & past experiences. If experienced, then proven track records helps.

Hi there! Have you narrowed down which particular field of the healthcare industry you are interested in? There are so many different paths that can be taken, but it depends on what you find interesting and passionate about. I, for example cannot work with the Pediatric population. I found I am too sensitive to working bedside pediatric care. However, I was able to find another outlet for providing the best possible care for this population of patients with a role in Case Management.
I feel what it really boils down to is what you are wanting to achieve out of your career, and finding a role that will be not only satisfying, but allow you to maintain a healthy work-home life balance.
