What things can happen to me at work?

#business #career

Thank you comment icon Hi Josue, we would love to get your question answered but it would be helpful if you clarified what you meant and provided more details as this question can be interpreted in many different ways. Do you mean what can you learn at work? I noticed that you used the business hashtag; would you like to know more about the day to day responsibilities of someone in that field? If referring to business, one expectation is to be open to change. In an ever-evolving society and business needs, what we know and do today can be different tomorrow so learning to adapt quickly will be key. This will happen in almost every business, but each business will also guide so take advantage of all the opportunities they give for learning and enhancing your skillset.

This is an interesting question. It is subject to what career you would choose. In many occupations, we would work with other colleagues in teams. So, it is important for you to get along with your colleagues and become a team member.

And, the entire world keeps changing every day. This same applies to all different kinds of jobs as well. We cannot predict the future. Therefore, you may need to have yourself ready to cope with the changes. Keep learning everyday and ready for new challenges!

Good Luck!

Hi Josue. You pose an interesting question. I remember my first job...I really didn't know what to expect. I think maybe this is what you may be asking...what can you expect in a work environment? Probably the first thing you should know is that your employer expects you to come to work when you are scheduled to be there, be ready to do the job as expected, and have a good attitude (which typically means be respectful to your manager, peers, and customers). If you do these things, you can generally expect that people will enjoy working with you and you will enjoy your time at work. One of the key things I think you should always consider...the level of work you do should always be worth more than what you are paid. If you can continually say that you deliver more value for the company than what you are paid for, you will make progress throughout your career. There's a saying that I like to use: Under promise and over deliver. Always produce greater results than what was expected of you.

Wishing you great success, Josue, in everything you do in life. You can do anything you put your mind and effort to.
