Prerna’s Answer

Hi Subodh,

For both of your career , I'd suggest the most organic way is to go for 11th-12th , PUC . you need basic minimum qualification no matter which profession you join.

For Army , you can appear for NDA entrance exam conducted twice in an year generally during March or August. post the written exam you get to appear for SSB.

For Army Wing of NDA: Candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognised board. For Air Force & Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics subjects.

For Dance, you first need to decide which form of dance you are interested in. You have to start with one . If you are looking for Indian Classical dances, I'd suggest to start with Kathak. Check for institutes that also conduct exams and give you a passing certificate for the dance courses. Institutes have to be accredited by universities . Prayag is one such university from Allahabad .

If you are interested in western dance forms , Shaimak Dawar's dance studios are really good.

In any case , you need to join a dance academy to start with.

If you already know dancing then maybe you can reach out to professional dancers to assist them and then learn during the process.

Vijaya’s Answer

Hello Subodh,

I am very glad to know that you have picked to become an Army officer and serve nation. Hats off! Among a big crowd who is moving towards engineering and IT.

Army and Dance is two extreme careers. Both needs lots of dedication however get more clarity in what filed of Army you want to join. There are multiple fields, both technology and field work. Identify which dance style you want to learn and start working on both in balanced way. In early stage you could choose army has career and dance as passion. Later you can take a decision to switch to dance as career.

All the best.

Deborah R.’s Answer

Do you mean you are in the tenth grade and you want to be in the army and be a dancer?
That is a very hard question to answer. If you want to be a dancer, dance. Dance as much as you can. Take dance classes, dance with friends, learn the dances of your country. Look around for people and places where you can dance.
Have fun dancing.
Ask more questions so you can get more answers.
