How to get an internship in a different field from your major?
I studied Intercultural Studies for my bachelors but I have experience in project management, marketing etc. however it's been difficult to get an internship outside of my field of studies.

It may not be easy to get an internship outside of your field of studies, but it isn't impossible! I'd recommend one of two paths depending on what you're comfortable with:
1 - Find a few companies you are interested in and look at their websites and LinkedIn pages to see if there are any employees with backgrounds you may be interested in and reach out! Craft a short but informative message to them over LinkedIn (or, if you can find their work email address, email them directly) introducing yourself and asking if you could schedule some time with them to connect for an informational interview. Be sure to set the stage that you're a student looking to learn more about their role. While on the call with them ask if they know what the company may be looking for in their next Marketing intern / Project Management intern - if they don't know, ask if they may be open to connecting you with someone on the appropriate team (or the hiring manager) to gain a better understanding.
2 - If your college / university has a career resource center, reach out and schedule some time. They may be able to offer advice and share recommendations for companies to apply to depending on the country / market you are looking to intern in.

Thank you! The first path sounds interesting, I'll be sure to give it a try.

1. I would think about all the transferable skills that you have, and any projects that you worked on that showcase those skills.
2. Reflect this in your CV/Resume, and highlight those skills, projects and they key results or impacts you made from those projects.
3. Begin networking with people in those fields, such as marketing, etc. Go to meet-ups, or conferences to build your network.
4. Volunteer in the community or in school clubs using the marketing skills, or project skills that you have to show you have experience.
