Totally agree with Isaac comments. My suggestion will be to take a fist step an visit a Rehab Center and maybe have a little chat with the technicians is you have the opportunity to do so. They may have a better understanding for the challenges that may be difference from other centers or clinics. In my experience most of the challenges, beside the insurance coverage and access, is ore related to their compliance and willingness to get better as well as to the motivation and support from their caregivers. It become a very stressful environment for the family and love ones. The pain is a very subjective issue that really impact in many ways as well. Depression and sense of not been capable to have a normal life is very emotional. In my opining the biggest challenge is to keep them motivated and emotional positive to get trough therapy and adapt to their new normal or reality. Then it comes the integration to the home environment as well as other places.
Meet or visit few Rehab Centers around your home.
Develop a tuoghful questionary with all the topics that you want to have more information.
Interview Rehab Tech and Nurses as well as Physicians and Administrator to have a better undestanding from different angles.
Compare notes and visualize your future.

Usually in order to become a Rehab technician you would be certifted as a nursing assitant or have exsperince working as a caregiver. We all work in unity with the same goal in mind. As Paitent care tech in a hospital. I assist Physical therepy on daily basis. Some of the challenges could be regarding the patients care plan. How severe their needs are or based on their attitude or motivation. Some of these problems could based on how they are feeling overall. Pain level, sleeping or eating problems. Or even upset with self, family, staff, and mental health. Now these are some of problems that exist. I would suggest networking and visting some places you may be interested in working.
