To become an engineer you have study a major on engineering, for software should be systems engineering or computer science, take into acount that this careers have a foundation on maths, physics and logic, so you should like those subjects. If you like technology like computers, tablets, the internet, smartphones this is for you! There are a lot of jobs, different type of jobs for all kind of people to match what each one likes to do, is a growing industry, salaries are good, you can work wherever you want in the world and there is a high demand for engineers and not enough engineers to fill rhe positions. Hi! I think you definitely should research in the different types of engineering and decide on one field which you would like to pursue. If you have the opportunity to pursue and educational degree in that field that would be the easiest way. Alongside that, honing your skills from your classes, working on personal projects, getting internships, and learning more in the field would be beneficial. If a degree is not attainable then the best way is to take training courses in that field, build your knowledge, and apply for internships/jobs to build experience. Hope this helps!
