Is it better to go to grad school at a different university than your undergrad?

I've heard people say this and I'm just curious if it was true or not. #career #career-path #graduate-school

Hello,

It depends on the industry and what the company that you inspire to work at values. For more prestigious, technical or academically driven positions, employers would prefer to see a different graduate school than your undergraduate degree. In most cases you can get a different perspective through the mission and philosophy of a different university. Some schools are more research based, private, liberal, technical. Christian, etc. It is always good to see a well-rounded applicant with different experiences.
