Christina’s Answer

Look at colleges that are reputable and not just for-profit ( a lot of for- profit schools, are only there for numbers and could care less about fully educating its students). Take all of your classes seriously, but really master Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Math and Biological. Before entering Medical school, you must take and pass the MCAT ( Medical College Admissions Test). Medical residency is your next step in reaching your goal. Residencies generally last any where from 3-7 years depending on your specialty. Successful completion will result in obtains a license to practice.

Lusecita’s Answer

I would start looking into medical schools of interest
You can begin at a community college for prerequisites
Also, if you know anyone in HC, see if you can shadow a day with a Pediatrician

Erin’s Answer

Hello, Here are the steps for being a MD: 1) you first get a bachelors degree and this includes a good GPA & taking the main science classes (biology, organic and inorganic chemistry, anatomy, physics, calculus etc ). 2) For Med school entry you take the MCAT - a test to get into med school. 3) It is 4 years undergrad, 4 years medical school, then a residency in pediatrics is 3 more yrs. My father & sister are pediatricians and most of the day to day work is meeting with parents/kids for the less critical ear infections, and colds. I was told if you want to be a doctor, work hard & get into medical school and then you will be exposed to all types of doctors/opportunities & you can always decide to be a pediatrician or maybe change it up! Good luck!

Make sure you like working with children. Not everyone does. It can be a lot different than it seems.
