Judith’s Answer

When painting many people experience a zen mind set. Pain and worries dissipate, concerns are shed and clarity prevails. Training the eye to see so that one can paint well assists in recognizing the beauty of our planet as well as the opportunity to express incongruities which usurp the natural order of life.

Painting also connects. One can meet and learn from other artists, connect with patrons and encourage creativity with those who previously believed they had no access to inspiration.

Painting can be a calming medium for expression. Sometimes words are too harsh. That is not to say expression is wrong, just learning to express in a quieter way can give others time to process.

Painting can be in any form or type, it soothes and relaxes your mind, because your focus is on each stroke you put or every line you draw.
I feel it is an immersing experience with one self. One totally enjoys and its a fun way to learn many different techniques involved in it. Just let your creative mind overtake you when you paint and dip yourself into it. Good luck !

Lyndsey J’s Answer

art therapy is a real and valid form of self improvement. You get expressed yourself in many different ways depending on the medium that you’ve chosen. Being an artist and doing paintings is very rewarding and the fact that you get to put your feelings and your thoughts on canvas and memorialize them almost like journaling. There are so many other benefits to painting and you will find the ones that are most important to you. Just be honest when you paint and paint from your sole intent what you feel paint what you think and be free and enjoy it. Thank you so much for the question and I wish you all the best in the future.
