Hi Kelly,
There are so many different jobs in the technology field. There are software development positions if you are interesting in using code to create software. There are QA positions that focus on testing the software before it is shipped out to users. Positions in UX design focus on creating the entire user experience of a product. Project managers examine the business goals and keeps the project on track.
If you are interested in pursuing a career in technology, I would advise you to explore the field and take a range of classes: IT, Programming, Business and Design and see what you enjoy.
Best of Luck!

There are a TON of technology jobs out there. For instance my job, at Verizon, we supply all sorts of technology for many issues. The cell phone you use to call your friends, the internet you use to access social media, texting your friends all used technology to do so. We are consuming more and more content each year so technology is going to continue to grow!

Jeremy’s Answer
There are a lot more opportunities within the technology industry than what many people typically think of at first. It is not just about sitting in front a computer all day long. From my experience, technology jobs are where creativity, engineering, and customer engagement come together.
The technology industry attracts a lot of creative problem-solvers, people who want to solve big (and small) issues, who want to make products and services that serve humanity, are easy to use and beautiful to look at. It also requires a lot of customer engagement, listening, collaborating, and analyzing how people buy and use products and services.
The point is, no matter what you are uniquely interested in, you can make a difference in the technology industry.
