Hi Cristopher. I do not know about the Carpentry trade, but I do know that trade schools are typically a couple of years long. You will most likely want to apprentice with a company for a year or two before you are able to go out on your own with the credentials and confidence to have your own business. Look at trade schools that offer Carpentry or companies that have apprenticeships where you can learn the craft of carpentry. Best of luck.

Hi this is such a rewarding trade my suggestion is to look at some vocational schools programs can vary from 2-4 years. Also look into the Carpenters Union for training and opportunities. And look into working for a local reputable contractor part time even as a laborer wanting to learn about being a carpenter, and look, learn and ask alot of questions and read up about construction techniques and learn blueprint reading.
Good luck!
