Heather’s Answer

Being computer savvy is a must in this era. In all areas from business administration, healthcare, law enforcement, education technology is becoming prominent. As an RN I use the old school skills before tech took over but I also side new-age technology. To be competitive in this job market you need to be willing and have that skill set within a computer.

Alecia’s Answer

Many jobs and companies offer work from home opportunities.
It is to your advantage to be good at working from home.
Part of this is to understand all of the technologies that lead to remote productivity (MS 365, slack, internet, Share Drives, conferencing platforms, etc) and the other is to develop good discipline & work ethic.

I agree with the above answers but add to please, please learn touch typing. I know this is simplistic but it is essential. Companies want people who are efficient in all phases of computer use. Words per minute and minimal mistakes can make the difference in getting a position or not.
