Jaclyn’s Answer

Yes it’s to my understanding as long as you have a business degree you can go back and focus on whatever you want, for instance finance, tax, mgt. If you didn’t have the business degree you would have to get the MBA and focus on finance. However I’m sure every school will have different class requirements to obtain the official master’s degree so you would have to check with the university for their requirements.

Michelle’s Answer

Probably, i don’t think schools will classify Master’s of Science entry requirements very narrowly , so Bachelor of Business Adminstration or accounting to Master’s of Science should be possible

Yes! You can enroll for MS in finance with a BBA degree as per my understanding. The ultimate decision maker will be the schools which you apply for as the entry criteria differs between schools

Lauren’s Answer

Based on how you asked the question, most masters in finance programs would be open to a student with a BBA. Your best bet would be to identify schools that you are interested in and research what their requirements are. This will help you identify if you need to gain additional skills/degrees before applying and if not, which schools might work for your current situation.

Alexandra’s Answer

Yes! You can pursue different types of graduate degrees in finance, accounting or business administration. It would be helpful to consider your interest in obtaining a license in the future as either a CPA or CFA. Depending on that choice, you can explore a different degree option. Many of the MFA or MSA programs are part-time so you can pursue internships or even full-time work while you are studying.

Ryan’s Answer

I think it really depends on the school. Some schools might require you to take some basic finance classes as prerequisites. I would create a list of schools/programs you are interested in attending and contact their advisors for more details.

Paula’s Answer

The answer is yes. :) I have a Bachelor's of Science in Technical Management with an emphasis/minor in accounting. I also have a Master's in Accounting & Financial Management. The good news with most master's degrees is that you can get a Master's as long as you already have a bachelor's. Depending on the college they may have a grade point average requirement. For example, I had a cousin that was a finance major in under grad but she got a Master's in elementary education. So now she can teach or use her finance degree.

Trevor’s Answer

I think it will depend on the school. You would just need to compare the classes you will have gotten credit for in the BBA degree to the pre-requisites for MS Finance degree. To make it easier I would get in touch with an advisor at the school you're interested in and they should be able to help you figure this out.
