Not if you are willing to explore different paths based on what life throughs at you. Never focus on making money, always focus on having fun. If you are having fun on what you are doing money and career advancement will follow.

Rak’s Answer

That is a great question. I would have answered it differently at different stages of my life. Now being in my mid-40's, I have learned that life is a journey with unexpected twists and turns and it is much more enjoyable when you try not to hold too tight on the idea of reaching a "destination". When I was younger, I had goals that said "by the age of 30, I want to be at X stage of my career of have $$ amount of money." But I did not account for twists and turns, unexpected disappointments, pleasant surprises etc.

Now, the goal I have is to learn to be happy with where ever I am in my life's journey and to take every moment as a gift. There is a great quote, "As you think, so shall you become." Always believe in yourself and know that you can be whatever you want to be. Best wishes.

It isn't where I need to be, it is where I want to be. I would not say it was hard, but it was challenging. It was worth it though! Lastly, you are still on the younger side Tamara; you have some time to make your mind about your career. Just keep your eyes open.
