It's not easy. You face difiicult complicated repairs. It rewarding when you accomplish those repairs. It doesn't pay as well as other occupations. In order to make good pay you have to be super fast and error free or get specialized training. Heavy equipment, trucks, repairing transmissions, and diesel engine repair techs are in high demand and get paid well. I happen to be good with emissions, computers and electrical repair. I can also manage a shop.
