Hi James G. I see that you posted this question a little while ago so I hope my answer to you (or others who may read this response) is still helpful.
In my opinion, most colleges have the same goal that students do...that is to have their students graduate. They are much more interested in supporting a student to prevent bad grades vs kicking a student out. Some ways that bad grades can be prevented by the students 1)pay attention to your scores 2)if the trends for your scores aren't good, don't wait until the end of the class to ask for help 3)consider retaking the class, maybe with a different professor.
When a professor/school sees these efforts, there is a good likelihood that they can assess a student's good faith efforts and can then work with the student to get the best outcomes.
Hope you find this answer helpful. Best of luck to you.

Hi James,
If every semester you pass all of your classes no D's there is no way you can get kick off.
All I can say is study and complete your assignment on time.
Good Luck to you
