Hello,

Teaching is one of the best noble professions in all over the world. to become a lecturer one need to have graduation or post graduation qualification in particular subject in which one want to teach.

You must have post graduation or master's degree to become a lecturer in universities or colleges.

as per the new UGC rules in Indian, candidates are required to have UGC NET certificate or clear entrance exam for any university to be eligible for the assistant professor, professor or other teaching staff.

After the graduation you need to complete Master's degree in your interested subject and apply for the UGC NET Exam.

UGC NET Exam is held to check the candidature for the lectureship and award to pursue Ph.D. or research.

so , complete your post-graduation and apply for the vacant posts in the Universities or colleges.

All the best for the future ahead.

If you're referring to a lecturer in a college classroom... you start with getting an undergraduate degree in the subject matter you're interested in teaching. And then you will want to look at obtaining a Master's degree. To be a lecturer in a college classroom generally requires at least a Master's degree in your subject matter. Many community colleges will want a Master's degree while major universities will generally look for you to have a doctorate (PhD or EdD).

Hello Harshitha. It is encouraging to note you already have in mind what to do in 10th grade. Generally, to become a lecturer one has to have a bachelors' degree. You will start off as a junior lecture to senior lecturer, associate professor then professor. Depending on the college or university, the entry qualification is bachelors' degree, however, most colleges and universities require you to have Masters' degree. So do your A level and get into university then apply for alectureship position after you graduate
