Indira’s Answer

For pursuing software engineering take Science major (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) with computer science in 11th and 12th standard. That will help you pursue Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering. Also, try and explore courses that introduce you to programming concepts.
There are some games that you can explore in your free time that help with getting introduced to programming like

Taking up a few personal projects to become familiar with software engineering outside of school can be very valuable for gaining experience that will help to find a job some day. There are plenty of websites that will walk you through some simple projects to introduce you to the field.

Nir’s Answer

Taking the standard math and science classes should be sufficient to get you into a Computer Science program, it doesn't have to be an exceptional one to yield a great job after school. There is also the coding bootcamp path if you want to save time/money. These are often 3-12 months programs that give you the practical skills to go get a job. A C.S. degree is much more in depth and takes a long time to complete but if you have the interest and resources then that's you best option I would say.
