Are there online free informational courses to help people figure out what career they are interested in? If so, any in particular you would suggest?
I am a highschooler trying to figure out what career I might be interested in. And I am home much more and trying to find opportunities to learn more about those professions. #career

I would suggest to handpick a few domains that may seem of interest to you and then further going over them on glassdoor.com and further getting to know them over Youtube from the experts in those domains.

Hi Mary!
It is great to see that you have started thinking of career options of your interest and you are also interested in understanding their relevance in the industry. I would suggest you to first give a thought to what your interests lie in. There are several career options available and it can be extremely overwhelming to choose the best one.
I came across a few good career counselling courses on Coursera website. As I understand, they also provide with certifications for the same. You can check this out for some assistance. Good luck!

You can try this test, I found online or you can google for some test online to see which one best fit you. If these test are about not able to help or give you an ideas then you should think about these found question for a better understanding of what you want to choose as your future career.

What are your interests such as what you like to do and what you does like?
What is your stronger school subject and do you like it?
What activities bring you joy? Make a list of about 5 or more
Do you have a role model or a person you admire and why?
What do you wish to accomplish down the road and by when? Example owning a house, travel, build something, play a sport?

I understand what you are experiencing. There are boundless options out there but which one is your passion. I suggest you take a moment to write down the things you enjoy doing. Here are just a few ways to begin the process...Ask yourself these questions..
What are your interests?
What of these interests can you support; make happen?
What activities bring you joy? Make a list of about 5
What person do you admire and why?
What do you wish to accomplish down the road and by when? Own a house, travel, build something, play a sport?
Interview a few adults about how they got where they are today; see if anything resonates with you
Seek a mentor; someone who you admire and is not afraid to give you some tough love

Hey!
More than online tests to gauge your career interest. I would suggest you to make a list of 5-10 of your hobbies. List them down and then individually read up on them, speak to people in those career fields, get an idea about their work, responsibilities, pay, career prospects etc. Thus you will have a comprehensive understanding of all the different career options in front of you which will make it easier for you to choose. Also be honest about your aspirations with your parents and 1-2 friends. They will be your sounding board to guide and give advice and at times be your Devil's advocate. If you want to know more about how to do this, feel free to reach out to me.
All the best! :)
