What are the steps required to be a fighter pilot after attending the Naval Academy?

Hi Joseph,
Congrats on getting accepted to USNA! Thats great.
I went to USAFA, so the steps might be a little different but what you need to do is the same--study hard! You will need to be in the top of your class academically to get a slot. The assignment board will also take your military scores into account, and rank you among your classmates. They will then look at how many pilot slots are allotted that year, and hand them out accordingly.
Assignments come out your Junior year, so work as hard as you can those first 2.5 years! After that you will still need to work hard....but the pressure will be off :)
