Is writing a hand written letter more impressive than writing an email?

I've gone on a couple interviews and my teacher told me to write a hand written note to thank the person who interviewed me, but i've also heard that emails are much better. Which do you suggest?

In my opinion it really depends. A hand written letter for a very small company may work well, while for a relatively large company it may seem a little odd. I recommend you use your judgment based on how you felt about the interview. If you really made a great connection with the interviewer this may be a plus.

Good luck on your interviews....

Hi Anina,

In today job market it is best to sent an email not a written letter. A written letter is unprofessional verses an email. A written letter could take weeks and months before the hiring manager receive it by than the manager may not remember you. An email is received as soon it is send the manager will remember and you will have a better chance of getting a call back.

Just a challenge for you next time try both in two separate companies. I guarantee you the email is efficient.

Good luck.
