Briana’s Answer

I can say my favorite thing about my job is helping people find new eye wear and educating them on their beneficial ways to care for their eye health. The more you educate your patient, the more confident and relaxed they will feel about caring for themselves outside of your care, but also would be willingly to come back and talk to you if they have additional follow-up questions or concerns. In the end you gain a sense of trust and it feels fantastic.

The least favorite thing about my job would be when I cannot sometimes fulfill a patient's order, the usual reason being because their prescription expired and it is necessary to have an up-to-date prescription to follow through with the process. Though my company has many options to try and assist the patient until the can get an updated prescription, sometimes the customer still declines the options and leaves. I guess I can say I'm very sympathetic and strive to make sure each customer leaves with a smile instead of frustration.

Rachel’s Answer

Least favorite is easy. It is hard to spend time away from my family.

My favorite aspect of my job is also easy. I enjoy operating on a patient and providing an almost immediate fix to what was previously a life-threatening problem. There is great satisfaction that comes with taking a person from "cancer patient" to "survivor".
