You can get your associates (2 yr program but will require more schooling eventually because hospitals and employment facilities want someone with a BSN because it is a more clinical and science based degree), or BSN (4 yr). Classes are general ed, health promotion, assessment, anatomy, math, etc. You need a CPR certification. You can go to a community college for the associates degree or a private or 4 yr college for bachelor's degree. Good luck!

Hi Kayren! First, I should tell you that being a nurse is the best job in the world! I am super excited that you want to learn more about it! You don’t have to take any special classes until you graduate high school. After you graduate, you will have 2 years in college of taking fun classes like Anatomy (naming all of the body parts), Chemistry (so you will be ready to learn about medicine), and many more. The last 2 years of college you will take classes that are specifically for nursing. Also during those 2 years, you get to go into the hospital and work with patients while a nurse helps you. At the very end, you take a test to make sure you remember everything they taught you.
I hope this helps answer you question!
