It honestly does not matter where you go to school unless you plan on working for a University affiliated hospital since they give preference to their graduates. I would GENERALLY (meaning, not always) say to stay away from community college nursing schools since they don't get first dibs on clinical sites and aren't as regulated as 4-year colleges, on top of the fact that you cannot get your Bachelor's there and just about every hospital is moving toward only hiring graduates with a BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing) degree. I do not always recommend against the community colleges since some have quite nice programs. Ask around at hospitals and see which school has the best reputation for turning out prepared new graduates. Other than this, it really doesn't matter. A nursing degree, for the most part, is a nursing degree to a prospective employer.
