Take advantage of all the free advertising that is available on social media platforms. Use Facebook stories and always ask for engagement through polls. Like yes yes questions. For instance, put a picture of an outfit and say would you wear this to a job interview yes or absolutely yes. Also a Instagram is amazing for photography and clothing. Try partnering with a budding photographer that would be willing to showcase their photography while using your clothing and models. It’s a great way to collaborate and get your product in front of as many people as possible.

As people have written about - using social media is a great platform to showcase your products to the wider community. Social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook have business sections that allow you to measure how many people visit your site and click on links. Often using "stories" on social media is also a good way to promote a product or promotion. I would also look at networking events in your industry to see how you can get more of a wide spread target audience so at the end of the day more people know who you are all about! :)

First of all, what is your target market?
Do you know where most of your market are active in (facebook, twitter, youtube, Instagram, around the neighborhood)?

> An active way to increase traffic to your website is to make yourself visible in all SNS platforms, but as a start-up, you can focus on one of them where you find most of your customers and expand there. Make sure to link them back to your website.
> A passive way is to make sure you use Search engine optimization (SEO). Use and add relevant hashtags and words in your website so it'll be visible to people online.

Another passive way is to be good to your customers for them to spread the word and for people to increase the trust on your shop. There are a lot of online scams and people tend to buy from trusted shops, even if higher than market price.

Make sure your products are also well presented (image needs to at least have good lighting and is clear).

I would try to get your product in the hands of celebrities or other influencers on social media for free. I know it sounds like you're just giving away your product, but they have the ability to influence others to agree with your work, and that's worth more than money right now.

I found my success with selling my merchandise by selling it to family and friends initially. I reached out to everyone individually so that it felt genuine (which is was).

Also, find a cause or purpose behind your product. People tend to support a cause before they support a shirt. Hopefully this helps. Be persistent and keep working towards your dream.

So I echo what the majority of people have commented, but I think you should take it a step further. Putting your website out there for people to track is super important, but being able to create video content is key. Create a photoshoot with a photographer who is looking to build their portfolio and will do the work for free, which you can also advertise their services as well as a partner. I highly recommend creating video content. Take a viral dance or experience, get people who are your target audience and have them model your clothing in the videos and then providing the link to your website on their platform. You'll really have to use Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram as the way to appeal to a very influential way. I would go through and DM as many people as you can that fit your target demographic and offer them your clothing in exchange for posting viral content. Don't be afraid to give away some of the clothing in exchange for being able to market your business even more. Reach out to local newspapers and media outlets offering 50% off of your clothing by x-date to give back to the community as well and for others to support local businesses during this pandemic. Can't wait to see what you're able to create by doing these marketing strategies.

Hi Kori!

You should look into social media advertising. Start putting a link to your website in your bio, share some info about it and a picture of your business and post it to social media platforms, share your business with friends and tell them to share it with other people, if you are in college or high school you could post flyers of your business in the halls, start making business cards to hand out to people, etc.

I hope this helps!

You have to put your website out on as many social media platforms as you can. Make sure to display some of the items you sale. Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snap Chat, and YouTube. You can make a small video like the new "don't rush challenge" with a model, or yourself changing into some of the different outfits you sale on your site. Making sure to have the website displayed somewhere on the screen. I hope this information is helpful, best of luck.
