Hi there,
I am currently in medical school. It is extremely important to get good grades in college, as it will make applying and getting accepted into medical school easier for you. However, grades are not the only thing medical schools look at. They first will look at your MCAT score, second your grades, third you volunteer activities and community service, your personal statement and then your letters of recommendation. So you can make yourself a good candidate in other areas as well if you have a few B's.
Good luck.

Hi Robert! You definitely want to maintain a good GPA like 3.7+, so try to avoid C's. Get as many A's and B's as they will help your GPA. However remember to maintain your mental health as well, if you do get one or two C's that's okay! This road is arduous and long and sometimes set backs can happen, just focus, work hard, and attend lectures. Hard work pays off!
Best of luck!

You need a strong GPA. Aim for 3.75 or better. Work really hard on the MCAT and start preparing early. If these two values are high, they will get your application through the first round of cuts.

You will need to get good grades in college in order to apply for medical school. At the medical school I attended, the average GPA is reported to be 3.85, so even one or two B's can hurt your chances of acceptance.

Depend on which school you are applying to or for, but it is important to have good grades and high GPA if possible, If GPA is not high then you need to rely on your MCAT to give you a boost for help in getting into to Medical School. Many medical schools require that you have at least a 3.0 minimum GPA to even apply to medical school. However, you probably need at least a 3.5 GPA to be competitive for most (if not all) medical schools. Aim for 3.7 GPA or higher in your pre-med or bachelor degree and a high score for MCAT, if your GPA is not higher then at least 3.5 GPA for your chance apply and getting into medical school of maybe your choice.
