How many clubs should I get involved in during my Freshman year of college?

I'm thinking of joining quite a few, but I don't want to overload myself and end up shooting myself in the foot #clubs

Hi Natalie,

I think its great that you want to be involved in multiple clubs. Socially, its a great way to meet other students and develop your interests further. Look for a healthy balance to ensure that your focus is on your primary studies and degree plan without feeling overwhelmed by too many Club obligations. My recommendation would be too start with one or two as a freshman. If you are pledging to a sorority, be sure to understand your obligations to the sorority before overcommitting to clubs as well. Good luck as you enter your freshman year!

I think clubs are a great way to meet others and grow your network. I think it's more important to join one that really fits your interests - rather than how many you join. I would suggest researching the clubs available and choosing one (two at the most) that most interests you. Even better if you can find a friend to join you and you can hold each other accountable.
