Tanya’s Answer
Medical school is what you make it. What’s important is going to school in a place that you are happy in, have support, enjoy activities outside of school. A degree from Harvard, Yale - clearly have a reputation, but reputation alone does not make a great school.

For medical school, the main things are your grades, extracurriculars and your MCAT scores (and of course be humble!). No matter where you go, you have you build your medical school "resume" in a sense. Get involved with volunteering and research, but also keep your grades up! You can do this anywhere and still achieve your goals of getting into medical school. But never lose sight of what you are, which is a student ! Enjoy your college experience while staying on track and keeping your grades up!

Richard’s Answer
Having a degree from Harvard, Princeton, Yale or any the top schools might be an additional feather in your cap when it comes to applying to medical school, but the more important goal for applying should be high GPA and MCAT scores.
You will learn what you need to learn in medical school and residency to become a doctor. Whether you attend a community college and public university or expensive private school will not matter in your future career.

Estelle’s Answer
The best premed college is the college where you shine. Your major is not as important as your undergraduate grades, your MCAT score, your letters of reference, and your personal statements on your medical school application. For now, just focus on finding a major that really interests you in college. This will allow you to make great grades and find professors that appreciate your strengths and write strong letters of recommendation.

I have done some research about this online and found that the top three rated schools for this major are: John Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland), University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), and Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois). To make you decisions I suggest touring these colleges as well as taking into account the price and size of each.
