Great question. It varies greatly depending on which accounting path you choose to go and which market you're in (Salaries in New York and San Francisco are significantly higher than Houston, for example). Glassdoor is a great start to getting a general idea of what positions pay in which market.

Great question, it depends on how much you are able to scale and what level of deep expertise can you quickly build. Those i believe are the major factors, other than the payscale data mentioned above.

It depends on a variety of different aspects: education level, experience, industry, the state you work in, etc. Accountant salaries fluctuate greatly between entry level and CFO level. Check salary.com for more information based on your specific criteria.
