What are some of the resources available to seek out jobs for college graduates in their chosen field of study?

My older brother graduated from college with honors and was unable to get a job in his field of study. Eventually, because of his perseverance of not giving up, he kept seeking out opportunities that he discovered and was able to secure a job with no assistance from outside resources. #knowledge
