laura’s Answer

There are also all kinds of different types of modeling that are also based on your finest features and not necessarily on runway modeling. For instance there are Hand models, models in advertising for products. For instance there are advertising agencies for eye drops that would focus purely on the eye area where as a commercial for a smart watch might show the hand and wrist area.

Think outside of the box.

Maria’s Answer

Models come in all different size, color and shape. Models are beautiful in their own right; some people have naturally beautiful skin or hair or eyes, others have exotic looks, some may have unique things about them such as skin tone or personality. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder which means everyone has something beautiful about them. Times have changed and so there is no such thing as "a good fit to be a model!" If you really want to be a model, then you CAN be a model. Tell yourself that you CAN be a model and do things that will help you to become a model. Talk with and surround yourself with other models or read stories about models. Secondly, take good care of yourself such as eating well, exercising, sleeping, and socializing. Most importantly, speak positively about yourself as that will shape your self confidence.

Maria recommends the following next steps:

Each morning, visualize yourself as a model
Each day, tell yourself 2 or 3 things that you did well
Each day, do 1 or 2 things to help someone
Each day, find 1 thing that you did not do well and figure out what you could have done to make the outcome better

Riley’s Answer

In the past models have been known to be very tall and skinny, because this was the only beauty standard that was represented. However, in today's culture we have learned to appreciate every skin color, height, weight, and even disability. I would say that if this is what you want to do then you should go for it, don't let insecurities about not being the stereotypical model hold you back! If you believe that you are good enough and exude that confidence, people will pick up on that.
