You can do it! Set your mind to it and be willing to put in the work. I was nervous when I made the decision to double major in International Business and Spanish. I was able to do it in four years by going full time and taking a few summer classes. Work with the college counselor to understand the class requirements and map your 4 year course. You will be happy you did it.

Completing a double major is not too bad, in particular if the two concentrations are related or have significant overlap, or if you have already received some credits from Advanced Placement classes in high school. If you are still in high school, you still have plenty of time to research this, including what courses your college requires for both majors, and what kinds of classes you may be able to take even before college that will help you to fulfill the course requirements in time. You could look into classes at a community college (maybe even before you start) - just make sure to check transfer requirements since not all classes/credits are accepted for transfer. I would think that education has some overlap with most areas of study, since many people want to learn how to teach different subjects. I would also recommend that, as you choose your school, you look into all the credit requirements as well as the class offerings to make sure that both subject areas are strong at that institution. Also ask about what kind of support the school will give you in terms of career advice and guidance, so that you can focus your career goals and in turn tailor your classes accordingly. Best of luck!
