What are some ways to stand out during college applications?
I'm a high school freshman, and I want to know what are some things I should get involved in. Especially, if I'm planning to major in Pharmacy. #college #pharmacy #pharmacists #extracurriculars

Take all the courses offered in chemistry and biology in highschool. Also, extra curricular activities that promotes leadership are very important too. Lastly, the essays are windows into you. Make sure you write some good ones.

Hi Arielle,
I think one important thing you should figure out sooner than later is whether you want to become a retail or a clinical pharmacist, as they become completely different career tracks towards the end of pharmacy schooling. As a high-school student, I think the most important thing is to gain actual work experience; get hired as a retail pharmacy technician or that of a hospital one. This will not only give you hands-on experience but if the people that hired you like you, they will want to keep you on as a pharmacist once you graduate.
When you are applying, make sure to write a strong, succinct essay about your career goals and how passionate you are about them. Maintaining a strong GPA is always a plus, as well as joining National Honor Society should your school have one.
