Hey Jeff,

Of course! You can meet friends in any aspect of life. Just make sure you join clubs, etc. to put yourself in a position to meet new people.

Thanks,
Blake

Totally yes, you will be able to make a lot of friends in med school plus a lot of people will want to become your friend as well. you will go exchange programs, have sporting activities, different standing committees hence will meet a lot of people through theses activities who you can make friends with.

Hi Jeff! Don't worry, in college I met some of my best friends, who even helped with my pre med track. They became like my family, some of my friends I met in my science classes. They were actually Biology/Biochem majors while I was a Psych major but we got along terrific! And my two siblings who are in med school met a great close knit group of friends. I think on the pre-med track whether you are in college or med school it's important to find friends who support you, keep you on track and who you can study with. It's quality not quantity- great to have a few good friends who are there for you!

College, 1000% you’ll make friends. That’s the best time to do it. Find yourself man, learn about other ways of life by meeting people from all walks of life. That’s what undergrad is all about, aside from grades of course.

Medical school you’ll make friends too, some of my closest friends are from this time period. You go through emotional and mental trauma together during medical school which brings you closer.

Erica’s Answer

Hi there,

Absolutely! College is a FANTASTIC place to make friends. It's practically impossible not to. No matter who you are, what your interests are, or what your experience with friends in the past has been, you are definitely going to meet way more people that you could ever imagine.

No matter where you go to school, you'll find your "crew". It may sound cheesy, but just be yourself - it will draw people to you that you'll mesh well with.

Best of luck, and don't stress!

Darin’s Answer

You'll definitely make friends in college. From the group projects and assignments you'll do with your peers to the people you'll encounter, even your professors, yes I still keep in contact with past professors, your classes are the best place to meet new people and make long standing relationships. Keep in contact with as many people as you can because you may never know when you need some help on a subject or a study partner

Richard’s Answer

Your classmates in medical school are likely to share many interests with you including love of science, research, and volunteering.

Also they are likely to be similar in personality, eg determined and hard working.

You will also be bonding due to your shared experience.

The only problem will be making time for events and socializing.
