Doc’s Answer

CHEMISTRY was NOT my favorite subject, but... it became my favorite class, because of the teacher.

My favorite teacher was my chemistry teacher, and she by far the BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD. She had the ability to make the subject – that I found incredibly boring come to life through her enthusiasm and passion for chemistry. Going to her class was the highlight of my day, she would take on this whole new persona in her lessons, doing these voices, parading up and down the room gesticulating wildly, becoming the chemistry character she was talking about that day.

We're all aware of the value of a great teacher in our lives. Though, we give equal significance to all our teachers, sometimes there is a special teacher who influenced us the most, because of some of his/her qualities. That teacher fair me was Miss West, the BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD.

Kelly’s Answer

My favorite class was Math. This class was my hardest and my hardest teacher. It motivated me and showed me that I can learn anything if I put my mind to it. Although I got C’s in high school, I went on to major in Math and Computer Science.

Inoka’s Answer

Chemistry was my favorite subject in high school. It became my favorite subject because of my chemistry private tuition teacher. Math was my favorite subject in middle school because of both of my school math teacher and private tuition teacher. Therefore, I thoroughly believe that a teacher can make a big difference to a student's life. Biology, chemistry and physics were my high school subjects. Among them, chemistry was my favorite subject not only in high school but also in graduate school. I was inspired by my high school chemistry teacher to be a chemistry teacher in my career. I was impressed by not only his attractive teaching methods and his enthusiasm but also his personality and sense of humor.

Darin’s Answer

My favorite subject when I was in High School were my computer classes because I got to learn how to do everything from creating a website, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel to just simply messing around on paint. And the teacher was pretty cool too. I'm now studying Computer Programming in college, although it took me a little while to get there. Had to motivate myself to want to get back to school. Only took me 11 years

Yasemin’s Answer

Hi Kamal, I use to struggle a lot in science but soon my favorite subjects became biology and chemistry. I think my love for it helps me pursue my dream of becoming a physician. I found it very interesting how everything tied together in the topics we would learn and how it would explain life. My teachers were also great, especially my biology teacher; he taught us about red blood cells and bone marrow with a true story about how his college roommate donated his blood marrow to a cancer patient!

Best of luck!
