Hi Henry! Yes, of course! College is a great place to be. The beautiful thing about college is that people are usually there because they want to be. My advice would be...show yourself friendly and others will be friendly. You can also find things you have in common with others such as your classes, hobbies, etc. You can join study groups, clubs, etc. and then it's usually a natural thing to become friends with others.
All the best!

HI!
Yes, as long as you socialize and put yourself out there , friendship will come your way. These people will be able to help mentor and guide you as you continue your journey; however, it is good to find people around your age as well, so you have a variety of people to hang with.

Hey Henry,
Yes. College is a little different from high school in the fact that everyone can take similar classes. Seniors and freshman might have the same classes, so there really isn't a difference anymore.
Thanks,
Blake

Hi Henry- what "grade" you are in is much less important in college. While there might be some differences between Freshman and Seniors in terms of experience, it's not really a social system. While the people in your dorm room for the first year are likely to also be freshmen, you might meet upperclassmen in your classes (people take them during different years) or clubs. I made my best upperclassmen friends in clubs and student groups. When I became a little older, I met plenty of friends the "grade" below me during a summer job, and some of them are still my friends 10 years later!
