I have a deep passion for kids and I love to help others but I am not sure if Pre-Med is where I belong. Are there other pediatric majors I should be looking at?

I am not sure if medicine is exactly what I would like to do #pre-med #pediatrics

Thank you comment icon If you want to become a pediatrician, but you don't want to major in pre-med, you should do biology or some other science-related major. That could also get you into medical school to become a pediatrician. But Trisa Thompson is right; there are many career choices out there for you if you're looking to help kids. Marwa

Trisa’s Answer

There are so many jobs out there to help children - from teaching to non-profit work to corporate work. My team manages our global giving at Dell and we focus exclusively on giving to organizations that help educate underprivileged children. You have world of opportunity where you can help children. You could also work for the United Nations Foundation - they do LOTS with kids.

Trisa’s Answer

You might consider early childhood development - a huge difference can be made with kids very early on. Also, you might consider law school. So many children need legal representation.
