When considering a nursing program (and anticipating a move in the next two years) should I wait to begin nursing school until I know which state we will be relocating to?

Husband is Army and should be getting orders in the next two years. #nurse #military

My husband just retired from the US Air Force, and I am an LPN, so I totally understand! Dont wait, the military is too unpredictable anyway. You can always transfer schooling credits. Good luck!

Don't waste two years because your "waiting" to move based on your Husband's potential orders. Discuss with the program where you live what is normally transferrable to most Nursing schools. MOST courses and credits will transfer, don't forget to include work/life experience too. Ensure the school you are going to initially is accredited by the Accreditation Commission For Education in Nursing (ACEN) which accredits all types of nursing education programs including master's, baccalaureate, associate's, and diploma. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredits programs that offer only master's and baccalaureate level nursing degrees.

Worst case...take some of the basic courses, look at the University of Phoenix and their online program for Nursing.
