What is the best college to go to that offers both Stereoscopic 3-D and Interior Design?
I want to get a degree in both of these areas, but I don't want to have to go to 2 different art schools... #college #art #interior-design #art-school #stereoscopic

It seems like Stereoscopic 3D is mostly used by the movie industry but I can see its application in Interior Design.
I believe that in order to blend both fields of study, you would have to attend a school that offers a Movie Making degree and an Interior Design Degree and take classes on both. That would also be a great graduation project. SCAD - Savannah College of Art and Design is one of the best schools in the country for the Arts, Animation and Video and they also have an Interior Design Program.
Always look for CIDA accredited Interior Design Degrees. You can also get more info at ASID or IIDA- those are Interior Design Professional organizations but students can join too..
Good luck!

Hi there,
I'm a 3D artist with a degree in architecture. I can't give you any advice on which school to go to for Interior Design, but I can tell you that you can't get a degree in Stereoscopic 3-D. That's a very specialized f technology and not a field of study- though some technical schools may offer classes that touch on the tech. From my personal experience, I would strongly suggest that if your primary interest is in Interior Design, do some research into the best schools for Interior Design, apply to those schools, and focus your degree on that one subject. If the school you get into doesn't have the technology classes to teach Stereo 3D, take online 3D classes and read up on it- there is a LOT of information and online resources to learn about any 3D technology.
Best of Luck!

This sounds like a fabulous field, but not being familiar with schools in your area, i can only advise you on whom I would contact. It would help to attend your college fair if one is held in your area, and look for areas in the arts in materials in your counselor's office. You can also check online on sites that help with majors in college. I would google this area and find those institutions with interior design programs and then fine out if any offer your other choice. Wish I could be more helpful, but since the 3D programs are relatively new, I am not familiar with locations that would handle this interest. You might check the Art Institutions in your area so you could perhaps obtain training there as well as in a location that offers a good program in interior design. Also, check on those programs that have good programs in architecture.
