What kind of careers can i get myself involved in with Athletic training as my major?
I just figured this major would suit me perfectly because its still in the sports field and I always want to surround myself with sports and what it takes to be a great athlete, but I know i eventually need to make money for it. #career #majors #athletic-training

I am a PT (physical therapist) and have worked with many ATs that have gone back to school to become a PT. You may want to compare both of those programs and see if one is more desirable to you. Depending on your geographic location, job opportunities and salary can vary. Speaking as a PT, you can choose to work with an athlete population, whereas other PTs specialize in pediatrics, geriatrics, etc.
Good luck!

Working as an athletic trainer can be a very fulfulling and exciting career. Athletic trainers work in a variety of job settings, see this link: http://www.nata.org/professional-interests for more information about the places athletic trainers work. Most athletic trainers work in "traditional settings" such as high school and college athletic departments. There are also emerging non-traditional work settings such as the military, performing arts, and more.
