Hi Becca,
Your question is, what is it like being a firefighter.
To answer your question, it is the most exciting job in the world and the most dangerous. There will be days that we would sit around the station and do our training and there would be days, we would be handling calls from the moment we went on duty until it was time to call it a day.
There are many very serious and heartbreaking calls. But sometimes there are some very funny to us calls that will leave a lasting impression on you. You really never get used to the trauma and bad scenes that you will see, but there are resources there to help you get through it. As I first said, it is the most rewarding job in the world. I am sure many would disagree, but that is my opinion.
