Dang’s Answer

Game Designer is a really broad question. You can be an Artist, Quality Assurance, Computer Engineer, Data Engineer, Production Managers, Art Director...etc. Depends on what you choose the price range are different. Of course a higher position will give you more pay or something related to the Computer Engineering side will give you the most money. Somewhere between 60K-100K+. Artists are usually $30K-$100K+ depends on where you work. here's a list of the type of jobs you can choose from if you want to work in video game. I think this list is quite accurate. It is a little bit racist and stereotype but it is somewhat true for the type of titles you want in Video Games.

Leeanne’s Answer

This can really depend on the title, company, and region.

If you're in the US you might make more than someone in Canada but this isn't always the case. If you are a Sr Designer vs a Jr Designer than you will likely make more. Some companies offer more for a game designer than others as well.

Game design is a challenging but fun career to explore. I believe the ball park would be from $40k - $60k but again that is very dependant on the region, tenure (Jr vs Sr) and the company that employs you.
